LandMARC is an applied research center
assigned to the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI),
a component of the Georgia Institute of Technology. LandMARC
research and development is devoted to refining emerging
technology arising from both basic and applied research
so that it becomes part of support systems for logistics
and maintenance.
LandMARC has a unique ability
to forge strong, collaborative teams: the
sponsor, other academic researchers, and commercial
firms working together to craft an effective
solution to the challenge before them. LandMARC
has formed an effective network of partnerships
with other universities also working on these
challenges, as well as several high technology
firms with leading edge technology.
LandMARC has proven capable
of pulling the most promising basic research
into the applied realm and has established
a credible, award winning reputation for results
through these teaming relationships and strong
systems analysis and design.
Our reservoir of expertise
offers a full spectrum of resources to address
logistics and maintenance challenges. These
capabilities include:
- feasibility studies
- technology assessments
- technology comparison
studies
- system or process reviews
- modeling and simulation
of particular processes or concepts
- design and development
of working prototypes
LandMARC is also skilled at concept development,
design, and fabrication of prototype systems
or tools that enhance performance of logistics
and maintenance tasks. Solutions that have
been developed include:
- Integrated data
environments
