FMTV
Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles
The U.S. Army Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) Program has sponsored LandMARC to investigate potential improvements to diagnostics and the creation of prognostics for its fleet of over 10,000 vehicles. The FMTV is the backbone of the Army's tactical transportation of material to field units, and it is capable of moving up to 5 tons of payload to all points on the Battle Field.

The first phase of our investigation identified prototype architecture for an improved network of sensors and data collection. The improvements are intended to exploit data present on the vehicle's data bus and provide greater depth and capability of the system. We constructed several risk reduction prototypes from off the shelf components and successfully demonstrated the ability to draw logistically significant data from the vehicle.
